another year gone by

its interesting how nothing changes. people remain the same.self interest remain the highlight of every person, at every cost. groups continue to be formed to cater to these self interests. but its difficult when individuals work together to safeguard their personal self interest. Mistrust sets in .. and each become afraid to turn his/her back to the others.

and when there are too many chasing after the same currypuff, they increase its size, but fail to increase its ingredients accordingly. when they finally cut it up after damaging many lives, they remain unsatisfied. so they work on a larger, emptier curry puff.

the last few days of last year, i was in a much poorer country. but only poorer in terms of materialistic value. the people i was with refused to spend time bitching about life. they work hard, party hard, and value every minute of their lives. the most interesting feature they have is their respect for each other, and their culture, country. the country that fails to provide for them is revered. What went wrong with us? we have the same breed of politicians here too.

while we can buy love, a seat to space, a parlimentary seat, friends... i guess pride and honour is still not for sale. at least in some countries.
